SOSKIN is committed to Pink October: together against breast cancer 🎗️

SOSKIN s’engage pour Octobre Rose : ensemble contre le cancer du sein 🎗️

Breast cancer represents 33% of female cancers and affects more than 61,000 women each year in France. Our commitment to raising awareness about Pink October reflects the urgency of taking action against this leading cause of cancer death in women.

What is the Pink October campaign?

The campaign Pink October today represents a major international mobilization which colors the world pink every October. This initiative is part of a global approach to raise awareness and fight against breast cancer.

Pink October was born in the United States in 1985 at the instigation of the American Cancer Society and the cosmetics company Estée Lauder. The original idea aimed to promote mammography as an effective means of early detection of breast cancer. This initiative quickly expanded beyond U.S. borders to become a global movement.

In France, the campaign began in 1994 with the launch of the first “National information campaign on breast cancer screening”. However, it was only in 2004 that the association “Breast Cancer, let’s talk about it!” officially established Pink October in France, marking the start of a true annual tradition.

The SOSKIN commitment

Our participation in the Pink October awareness campaign is part of a global vision of social responsibility. Our approach aims to create a concrete impact in the fight against breast cancer while aligning our actions with our fundamental values.

On the occasion of Pink October, the SOSKIN Laboratory teams had the honor of supporting the SOS Breast Cancer association for the 7th edition of Jogging Rose and Marche Rose, on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. Every year, this awareness campaign reminds us of the importance of early detection and solidarity in the face of this disease and taking part in it is important for the whole team.

For the 2024 edition of Pink October, we have deployed several significant actions. In particular, the delivery of a check to the SOS Breast Cancer association. This contribution is accompanied by an awareness campaign on our social networks, recalling the importance of early detection which, when carried out regularly, allows for a cure in more than 90% of cases.

In 2025, SOSKIN continues to be committed to this essential cause. We will donate €1 for each order passed in order to financially support the fight against breast cancer. These actions illustrate our desire to transform each gesture into a concrete step towards prevention, solidarity and collective commitment.

How to get tested?

Several complementary methods allow effective screening:

  • Self-examination : to be carried out monthly, ideally a few days after your period. This technique makes it possible to detect possible abnormalities such as a mass, a change in shape, discharge from the nipple or a change in the skin.
  • The clinical examination : carried out by a healthcare professional, it includes observation and palpation of the breasts and lymph nodes.
  • Mammography : radiological examination which remains the most reliable method for detecting non-palpable lesions. As part of organized screening, the images are systematically reread by a second radiologist for optimal safety.

To make an appointment, simply contact an approved radiology center or request a prescription from your GP or gynecologist. In addition, mobile screening units travel to certain regions to facilitate access to women far from medical centers.

Our commitment at SOSKIN goes beyond simple participation in this annual campaign. Indeed, we consider women's health to be a fundamental priority, integrated into our overall vision of social responsibility. Thus, our support for local associations and our internal initiatives demonstrate our desire to take concrete action in the face of this major public health issue.

Don't forget, we will donate €1 for each order until October 31 !
